KL and SG

Once I arrived at KL and Singapore, I felt international, why? All the signage are in English, everyone speaks it. The city layout and orders pretty inclined to western styles,  ppl in the streets are helpful when being asked for directions, foreigners are kind and not cocky or thinking them as special super stars as those we encounter in shanghai. In this case, I would say Chinese are more laid back regarding exposure to the outside world resulting in their ways/attitudes to foreigners differently. Personally I think KL is more interesting in shopping than in Singapore where I find products are not cheap at all.

In KL Twin Tower , there lies Suria , the mega big shopping mall  ,offering some brands which we cannot find in China. Therefore, from product availability, it offers much more choices.

 

KL pricing in term of food and accommodation is pretty same alike in Shanghai, in Singapore it is within 1-1.5 times range, water is pricy in Singapore, 1 bottled mineral water can cost about 8-10CNY.

In Malaysia, I also went to Malacca the famous straits of sea-shipping transportation. In Singapore, which is small, you can finish tour in 2 days. And it is a must to go to see Night Safari 34SG$( including entrance fee+Tram) it is about CNY170. Being just meters away from sleeping lion, deer and Rhino , immersing myself into the mother nature is a wonderful experience.

Bali

The trip started with a bit worry as it has been planned that international driving license is needed for renting car at bali island and my travelling buddy forgot at home when we found out at airport. Fortunately it proves one Golden Truth: Money Speaks! , so we rented the car by waving $ front of eyes of car rental company. However, the previous client inadvertently left  paying bill insides our car and we found out we have charged 3 times more expensive as what we booked through internet! This leaves us the benchmark as base for whatever local offers, we cut it 66% than original offer, and it works!

 

In General, driving in Bali is not fun, as roads are narrow, 2 lanes, lots of motor bikers, snaking around making your nerve tightened. Hotels in popular resorts area are over-priced. Especially those hotels built along the Kuta Beach.

 

Thanks to car, we were able to move around the island in 3 days via car from South to north. We went through mountains/lakes/volcanoes up to the north point named Lovina where we stayed one night and we were the only guest that night, so whole hotel was my playground, the hotel is built along the black sand beach. Next early morning, we booked trip, CNY50 per person, got up 5:30am, took a breakfast and before sunset the fisherman’s 4 seats ship drifted me to the open blue sea to search for dolphins. It was so beautiful village built at foot of hills , clouds with morning mists capped upon. With fresh breeze, blue water, wind, ocean waving. I felt tranquil and peaceful.  It was a bit pity that dolphins did not show up probably due to the water torrents changed due to full moon. Still, Lovina is a good place to be memorized

 

Then Ubud located at the heart of bali, lots of shops selling wooden curving, art crafts. Hundreds of bars, cafes, museums. Hotels can be very experience, it was a good choice that I stayed at Villa Varna where they have 7 stylishly featured rooms, every is different from another. The garden is spacious , rich with plants and flowers, the room is neat and relaxing.

 

Kuta located at near airport at south part of the island. With lots of beaches and surfers , restaurants, tourists, hotels, night clubs. So just lay on beach can kill a day easily. And I spent 3 days there!

After watching the READER

 

there are several questions marks lingering across my mind and sort of i thought it out and kind of still not clear why is that

 

At taxi with a female colleague heading for restaurant tonight, i suddenly popped up a question for her after she mentioned that she and her husband spent lots of time taking care of their son on weekends

I asked her: If you were given second chance, would you still like to have baby?

She paused a second and eyeballs rolled a bit with an answer:if not in consideration of her husband and parents, she would not choose to have baby.

Same question was asked before to a woman whom married with a german, she said she would not marry a german if given second chance.

 

It not exactly has to be regret, even people today are happy, but they still are willing to choose other option rather they chose.

 

Therefore,  if you were given second chance...what would you say....?

I thought it was just like any other comedy , hollywood styled fast food laughing materials, just to make myself laugh out aloud in these heavy workloaded days.

however, it striked me another judgement when the move trailer is with light music, kind of imagined as light happiness floating in the air insides mountains above the creek in a summer sunny day.

 

It started with our actor named Lars whom was very introverted in a way too much so that he was not willing to communicate well and openly with girls at the age of 30s. One day he had a delivery at home and it was his girlfriend just arrived in a wooden container,a sex doll!!?? Family didnot understand him, crowds laughed at him or spoke behind him. He was sick, totally!

I guess we will call Lars sick if he did exist nowadays, who will date with "love doll"??, right?

 

With primary scorn, being laughed, and not understood, the movie goes on with people began to give him supportness and tried to accept him in their life and being helpful to build him up, and finally Lars and his girl friends became parts of their life. When Lars girlfriend died, all mourn for Lars, because they love lars even in a way others primarily thought he was sick

 

That is what left to me to ponder , in this life, we might be laughed and not understood by others, we might have laughed at others for their strange ideas, or things they've done we thought crazy. But have we worn their shoes and thought as others thought? Definitely it would give us another chance to accept others, more important is to improve ourself ,acutally we can be more open-minded and rather than condeming, but being part of it and supporting......

 

I planned to visit haerbin in last year ,but due to Song Hua River got polluted back then,plan was ceased

It was begining of this year,i finally made it.

 

Wear Warm ,gloves,scarf and thick coat,those are necessary weapons to fight with minus 20 centigrade

Acuatlly,i am feeling shanghai is more chilly,this kind of chill is like torture my bones

In Haerbin,as long as you wear adequate,you would be fine

 

From city infrastructure and feelings the city and residents impressed me that Haerbin in this case is like ten to fifteen years lacking behind Shanghai

Haerbin dose offer lots of sight seeing spots,mainly are ice related.The time i stayed Jan.4-9 fell within ice fesitival,combined with ice sculptures in Sun island and zhao ling park,you really would appreciate the workman craft.

 

Personally i would not recommend going to Yabuli ski resort.I went there with travel agency,due to not very reachable transportation,there is no travelling bus going there,though i knew it can be reached via train firstly then taxi or there is one bus departing from Railway station.but in this cold winter day,i was not willing to walk around to find where to find bus stops.So as usual,travelling agency took us to a not so matchable world class ski resort spent an afternoon there.Yabuli is big,they have beginning,intermediate,advanced level of ski courts,i thought our travel agency took us to a very bad one

 

I also encountered problem buying ticket at street vendor,some bus driver may sell you ticket for ice festival,its not suggested not buy from them,otherwise,u may probably wasting your time found yourself being rejected entry because you are holding a group ticket which has to accompany a tour guide to get into. Thats what i encountered,but fortunately,i being tough awaiting at bus stop and caught the driver sold me tickets and forced him to lead me into sunisland finally

 

Apart from that, haerbin trip seems to me more like a journey of russian restaurants,there are some russians living or working there and on streets you would see russian families.

The famous red vegetable soup.pretty tasty.

 

3-4 days staying in haerbin is enough if you are a good plan arranger

 

When i was a kid,i never had christmas,because its White's holidays,not for yellows

when i was a kid,i had holidays like Chong yang festival,Qing ming festival,moon festival,Also, Childrens' day straight up followed by my Birthday.

 

When i am growing up, i didnot feel like atmosphere of having those chinese holidays,but more and more western culture and holidays "invaded" us

We once were occupied geographically by other nations. now we are being invaded by their culture

have u ever asked someone whom celebrating Valentine days,christmas,halloween,whats the origional stories behind them? I bet most of being asked dont have answers

 

While more and more pop singers promoting Chinese themed songs,films,i think we chinese also promote our chinese festivals

 

with 5000 year history, we shall not be regarded by whites that we are just cheaper labour workers

We shall present ourself what 5000 years make chinese today tough,tolerant,industrious leaders of the future !!!

 

Keep the culture, dont let it being drained away

 

 

Kamloops is a rest place in my plan back from jasper to Vancouver

it dose not have any breathetaking views as like banff and lake louise

I think its just a small town,it was afternoon that i arrived driving from Jasper around 6 hours

 

Though nothing sightseeing,but i did enjoy the most comfortable bed in tihs trip,i stayed in Hampton Inn (i think it belongs to Hilton Group)

The bed is very comfortable,I slept naked ;) like a baby.......

 

the second day, we set our journey to Vancouver,when we left..... We Saw the Rainbow bridge,a whole intact Rainbow Bridge acrossing the sky of town...

Turned on the country music radio, City boys going to City.... Next Adventure.... Vancouver.....

 

I was listening to my Ipod,while a beggar carrying a sleeping baby on her back was approaching me in metro

Passengers seated tried to avoid their eye contacts with the beggar,some were touched and offered coins

 

I am very "Selfish Mean" normally,i dont give away pennies.

Someone said,the more we gave away to beggars,the more beggars come to shanghai,it dose make sense.

 

this time,it was a woman aged around beginning of 30s,she began to criticize beggar for carrying a young baby wearing so shabby,why not send her to school,if its the poverty,the baby should not been born.....

 

The Beggar lowered her face leaning against the door of metro facing window,sobbing.Baby Sleeping.Woman Blaming,their body smell is Bad.very bad

At last,woman offered her a napkin to dry the tears,the Tears.....

 

 

We are all humans.but we are so different......

 

I am not a real fan of LP,i have to admit

but since they are coming to shanghai so that i would allow myself to miss the chance to encounter with the one of the best bands on this planet

 

So,i downloaded lyrics,i recited,i listened to Ipod,practising

The night has been heated up when thusands of fans(most of them,i think are like 20s,from nearby university) gathered at the gate,restaurants,tea houses

 

I was a bit hungary so i walked up several blocks away from staduim with hope to find something eat

well i did,found a local street vendor ordering my noodles,right there around the conner

Suddently, a policeman escort car drove into the alley,with horning and yelling pedestrians give the way

i was wondering is somewhere VIP?

Right at my thought wondering who are they,i saw Chester Bennington and Mike in the Black Car after escort car. so clearly seen,Chester was observing out from the window,Wow. .. So close touch with Super Star at My Noodel stand!!

But crowds around didnot notice who they are so no fans are chasing cars,i wanna chase them,but at second thought,well....dinner is more important ;)

 

the concert due to start at 730pm,but due to some reasons,it started with a chinese rock band whom i barely known before.The public media didnot annouce in advance there would be a chinese rock band to warm up the concert,i assume this maybe the back up team while linkin park has sth to do cannot be on stage on time.but anyway,it obviously chinese domestic artist received COLDNESS,The audience hissed its displeasure,unbearable of this 20-25mins long performace by this chinese rock band

 

And When the Lords of the Night Stepped onto the stage,the stadium was crazy.Girls besides me Yelled out "I Love U,Chester..." boys around smoking and exhaled the smoke into the sky and sang loudly.Well,lots of fans of LP,they remeber the lyrics and the concert was a big massed chorus!

 

Why they titled one of the best bands ??

U go figure it out ;)

 

 

 

 

 

Between Lake Louise and Jasper lies the most scenic picturesque landscape on this planet

the Icefields Parkway 230 kiometers of continuous world heritage site

 

Since the first day we arrived at Lake Louise was Snowy,but the next day clear up blue sky

We thought it was the gift of nature to unfold its beaufy of snow sceneries

 

I marched myself in deep snow insides the snow forest with visible footprint of deers,only me walking insides the nature,very where white,till reached the BowSummit where i got the one of my lifetime stunning view of Jade Like Peyto Lake out there in distance,surrounded by trees wearing white coat.AWESOME!!!!

 

Dont forget the Mistaya lake where the golden leaves,mirror alike lakes,snow mountains

Saying goodbye to Beautiful Banff

We were on the way to Lake Louise 55 kilometer,around 1-1.5 hours driving

 

We stopped by at Mountain castle,took some pics,rested ,had my breakfast in car

 

When we arrived at Lake Louise,it was snowing hard,we checked in our Hotel ,Lake Louise Inn.Then we decided to do some tour at Lake Louise town first,the town is much more smaller and less interesting than Banff,mainly 2 to 3 main streets with a bus station clustered by some boutiques and food store.I went to the nearly railway station did some photo shots and decided to first explore the most spectacular highway in the world---

But the weather condition is very poor, we drove very slowly and cautious,though the road condition is well-paved,but visibility couldnot enable us to have a good views.So we only stopped at Crowfoot Glacier before we turned our head back to town and went up to the Moraine Lake.The Peaks of mountains were veiled by mist and snow,with the assistance of umbrella.I did a bit wandering in snow along the lake shore.

Then I headed back to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise where you can relaxed at a windowside table having afernoon tea and see the lake through windows

 

Thanks God,Buddas,the following day was such a beautiful day,Clear,Chilly a bit,but very neat air and i felt so pure and refreshed.We drove again to the crowfoot ,it was so different the view in snow and view in a clear day.and furthermore, we went up north on icefields parkway,and i had one of my MOST AMAZING view of my life at Bow Summit overlooking the gorgeous Lake Peyto.The Snow yesterday Gave the "ingredient" to this splendid landscape

I  was on the way to banff! its 128km in distance,estimated 2-2.5 hours drive

I had pretty enough time so stopped by the Olympic Park

 

Left the city of Calgary,drove into the mountain area

the feelings is so fresh that forget all about work,worries,enjoy the views of snow mountains around you along the highway,breathe the fresh Oxygen,i am alive! ;)

 

it was around noon time i arrived at banff ,checked in BowView Lodge.its a compact hotel.there lies Bow River behind hotel.Pretty Beautiful

Banff is a small town.only several main streets,where hundreds of boutiques selling souvenirs,hiking sportswears,clothes,jewelleries,and restaurants

There are some shops opened by japanese.

 

It was much cold compared with calgary,and extreme chilly when i was upon to the Sulphur Mountain peak the following day

after a cold day outdoors,dipped myself into the jacuzzi at banff center,heated myself up...warm......

 

 

 

 

 

 

Travelling is enjoyable ,things normal to locals would be specials in travellers' eyes
well, apart from sightseeings, encountered beggars are also inevitable.

 

As in the usa and canada,beggars are in better conditions than chinese counterparts.

First of all,beggars in north america are not aggressive, for instance, beggars just sit or lay down on streets with beverage cup ,while in shanghai,every day we see beggars try their best to get the money out of pocket from passengers.In this case,i say chinese beggars are Aggressive

 

Also the difference lies in that in North America,beggars will carry all their properties in trolley,thats all they posses.While in China,you dont know where beggars come from,after a hard work day,they may return home watching TV and eating Icecream.

 

Hereby,i listed several types of beggars i encountered in North America

 

1)Junkies
They may drug addicted,probably they are,i encountered this type at the Calgary along the bow river,they asked for cigarette.Normally they are males,in their 30s,40s.

 

2)Fastfood Frontside Beggars
Could be woman,or man, laying on the threshold of fastfood,with empty beverage cups
Saw one in vacouver front of Burger King

 

3)Sellers
women,some tried to sell me Cds,or shampoo,razors,or asking for coins for coffee, at least they are doing trading with give and take,you give money,you take what they sell.Sounds better,eh?

 

It was another heart throbbing 10 hours fly before i set foot to land of Canada for the first time
I am a "coward" on aircraft, a slight vibrating due to turbulent would expedite my heart rate
Thanks to the entertaining systems on Air Canada, i spent hours by watching movies.

When i arrived at Vancouver,i was hungary,rested a bit at a restaurant insides airport awaiting transfer flight to Cowboy City Calgary
i have studied a bit before departure,that Calgary is biggest city in Alberta province.its the hometown of Cowboys..Whee Whoo...Every year,it held Stampede and Rodeo .This year was in July,so that i didnot have the chance to catch it
Instead, i went onto Calgary tower at night,which turned out to be a good decision,since less tourists compared with day time and had a great view of the city and streets of flowing lights.

Also the splendid journey at Heritage Park really stroke me with the touch of Autumn with golden leaves,blue sky,clear water,white clouds,you may sit on chair or stone breathing a bit cold air opening up pores on your ,totally relaxed.
It was a Beautiful Day

The city itself gave me a bit relief,since not crowded as shanghai,walking on street feel pretty spacious.
It was the first stop of my adventure of Canada

The feeling of autumn anticipated me for next few days more exciting views at Banff......

I belive I could Fly,I belive i can touch the sky.....

when it happened? How?

 

It dates back to when i was teenage,i was very skinny,probably less than 50kg my body weight 

it was a windy rainy day,i was on way home passing the alley,its a straight line alley,all of sudden a strong wind blew in towards me,instinctly,naughtly,i jumped up with my umbrella taking in the wind and blowing up as a supportive air upwards.

I could feel myself flowing in the air,the wind carried me a half meter forwards at least!!

 

I was every excited and amazed that i just flew!

 

Now typhoon is coming to shanghai,even now i use a bigger umbrella and jump higher,i know i would not fly again as i did that time

 

I believe i Could Fly......

Surely,i do as everyone dose,it enlighted me that our body is just a media linking insides of our body which is our soul and minds to the outsides world.It taught me love our own body even its flawed,cause no one is perfect.

I was sitting in the restaurant Yi Ren Guan 异人馆 where they serve 30RMB lunch set 

just wanna give it try first time dine here.

 

Not long after my dish was served,i sensed there is something flashing from my left leg to the table besides me

there were a couple and two other girls

 

30 seconds later,girls screamed out: A rat!!

 

I think Rat understand chinese someone is calling his/her name,it running faster towards the couple,i could obviously figured out the rat is a Big Monster,really, Huge, big as a baby cat.

 

It brought momentary panic among us and customers left the restaurant,staff began to hunt this "entertaining" rat

Those female staff,i assume they are pretty much get scared as well,they couldnot catch it

 

I am the only customer in the restaurant till some other new comers entered

 

Its not decent that staff still ushered customers into the area where the rat somewhere hiding awaiting for his/her next "performance"

Indeed,they should have closed the area to clean up it.

 

It was just a bad day,the weather,the transportation,the mood

 

Me and my American Manager after whole tough day,we arrived at the airport,and eager to fly back shanghai from guangzhou airport.But,its not the ending of a tough day,its getting tougher

 

Our flight due to take off 5:30pm,we were boarded,and aircraft taxied on running lane,but just enginee didnot start

We were informed that the aircraft was awaiting for control tower's order of taking off.Everyone is awaiting on board,and the air-conditioning was broken!! Now i realize how sweat and impatience can torture me.

 

It was one hour waiting and only one time broadcast by flight crew that our plane was awaiting for order,but i know,its not the cause,i saw one repair car arrived under the right wing,something wrong with the enginee,and the craft cannot fly

 

Other passengers also realized this and getting more impatient,chattering,aircraft crew rushing back and forth passage.

It was not long before passengers got up and carried luggage wanna off board.

"Its not allowed to off board,we will take off soon,please return to your seats please"

dont fool us,it never will be one hour awaiting for departure order,the craft Cannot Fly!

 

passengers getting more anxious,nearly everyone stood up and gathered to push the door open.

Captain couldnot control the situation,finally pulled over the craft back to the terminal

 

But thats not the ending of story,we were driven away back to waiting hall and no one told us whats the solution and we were told the meals would be ready,yes. ready meaning 2 hours later.

it was another 5 hours i sat on chair awaiting for one plane fly from shanghai reaching guangzhou,then take us back

 

Lie,irresponsible,cheating clients was the means this air company do

Its Shanghai Airline...Sucks

 

air carrier still is a dominantly controlled by government,while the market someday open to private sectors

I wont think this kind of service airline can secure any customers

 

 

 

 

She didnot wear any colorful t-shirt,jno blue jeans,her color is one word :Shabby

She reclined at the conner,her hair is disarranged,like we pressed backwords button on our remote,she moved her finger counting the coins insides discarded plastics cup,1...2...3....4...5...her shivering finger kept counting.

Thats her "income" today,the estimatedly 80s up female beggar caught my eyes

 

A end 20s lady walked by,denoted one coin....

 

Then,They came,...they..... a women,long face without expression,around 40s,with a man in uniform,one hand with a walkie talkie,they are the "Cleaners"

a girl passed by ,streched her hand out to give coin to the beggar,the man stoodout,and in a loud voice,stopping the girl,the girl got shocked and kept mute walked away head turning back to the beggar,then looking back to the rigid face of the man....girl entered the metro stairs,disappeared

 

the beggar lay her head on the ground,kept still,no movements guessing she noticed the "Cleaners".Then the woman took her fortune container,spread her asserts on the ground and walked away with cup with one coin still insides,threw into rubbish bin.They wanna her out of the arena where only street venders whom gave"sweeties" to uniforms,only promoters scattering flies are allowed

 

the beggar,didnot speak,she was too weak,barely could raise herself up,her legs must have problems,she dragged herself prowling on the ground,staggering,slowly like the speed of turtle.She kept mute,without facial expression on her face.But everyone around could feel whats insides her right now.

 

Then,my friend came to me I had been awaiting him,i told him what happened and he came towards the beggar denoting 5 RMB in despite of disturbance of "Cleaners"

 

It was pretty sad to see the whole story from beginning to the end,as i was not the only audience.

 

I am wondering,corrupted officials could take bribery of millions,treated by corporate money,went to girls,ktv,not worring about survive.How about those hundreds of thousands of homeless people?!

 

 

Laying on bed,it was approaching 11pm.My right face touching the bed,like a prawn,one of my favourite sleeping position,chatter outsides window,i was very tired,subconsciously i was feeling i was 8 years old,like days back,the surroundings echoed it,turned into like my 8 years old,my mood exchanged back to my childhood,yes,i was a boy....back at that time... and right moment i am a boy.....

 

i believe everyone(at least,i think its applicable to me) that we live in a loop where it has its starting and its ending,loop of our mood and thought and influence our behaviour

for certain period of time, i could be very childish,another time,very mature,another time,tough,another time weak

different loops reflecting different sides of ourself which based on what we have experienced in our past lifetime

 

People say,childhood is very important and memorable when we grow up,i believe so,its the time when we build our minds and thoughts(though we are keeping building our minds and thoughts day by day),however,its childhood when we define who we are,sometimes,u can see people quarrel,brawl,the words and behaviour,the revenge,acted like they are children

 

We,everyone is a big child,wearing dressing of grown-ups

 

The loops keep turning at its period which i dont know how it find its starting and ending point

 

Yes,thats it,the troublemaker

The trouble comes after i had them 30 mins afterwards.It came in rush,in pain,triggering this "yellow Vocalno"s eruption,everytime,it came,i controlled my muscles down there,running deperately,hunting the right place to relieve this pain,and everytime,it happend in metro

last time,i was running out of lujiazhui station on my way back,i knew i would not make it if i take metro till my dongchang road station.I was running faster than olympic athelete runners(trust me,i was!)

And today,it happened again,i could not hold it anymore,but i know i just have to,i was at line 4 and line 2 intersection,the pain and pressure came suddenly so strong that i gotto to erupt,but there was no place to do it,i held it,controlled by my strong will,finally and fortunately,i made it at home

 

The craft was shaking violently,continuously for like half of an hour.

The craft was approaching hawaii,probably 2-3 hours away from hawaii,where somehow,i believe is the intersection of different continental joints,up high in the sky,annoyed by turbulent air

 

It was the most formidable fly ever,ever!

My hands clinched on chairs,riveted tightly with sweat on palms already melting with chair handles,somehow the actors,actoress in movie played also showing violent scene,just like its backing the squeezed atmosphere by afraid

insides craft.

 

The craft was quite,some passengers were sleeping,or tried to sleep in order not to be scared by the shaking airplane

Some were just like me,too scared to be speakless,i could clearly catch the every shaking music of the craft with passengers' cargoes knocking in compartment like jailed monsters in any coming second could break out and give us the kiss of death.Outsides window,dark,coldness,no idea where i was......I was merely dame afraid!!

 

Then,suddenly i remebered guanyin dudda,lord of god,all kind of gods i can recall, i was praying in my soul that i dont wanna die here

Friends said i am young and have been too many places,yes thats true,and I dont wanna die young!

 

I talked to neighbour,i was scared,and he replied like nothing big deal happening to him,he said: everything is ok!

 

Dame,everything is not ok with me,i can perceive other japanese passengers' nerves were as tight as mine!

 

It kept like half an hour without intervals,we were riding a plane which can bounce in the sky!

 

When the craft landed safely at the international airport of honolulu,i could hear from back seats,the hail from japanese girls

Rights,thanks god, we arrived at "Heaven" Safely!
